Stepping into Sound Platters, I was greeted by a welcoming atmosphere that had a cool, vintage vibe. The owner was friendly and seemed genuinely excited to chat about music with me and my sons.

As a fan of alternative rock, punk, ska, and hardcore, I was thrilled to find an impressive selection of those genres. They had a nice assortment of new releases, and it looked like they were building up their used vinyl collection too.

Sound Platters is tucked away in a vibrant, local neighborhood that had a really nice community feel. Stopping by, I could tell this was the kind of place where music fans gather to discover new sounds and share their passion.

The prices on the new punk and metal records seemed fair and in line with the market. As for the used vinyl upstairs, there was a nice wild assortment — I'll have to dig through that collection next time to see what gems I can find.
