Stopping by Know Name Records, I was immediately struck by the friendly, welcoming vibe. The staff was so helpful, quick to pull out a quirky Donny & Marie album I'd been hunting for, and even found my very first cassette from '89 - Graceland. It felt like stepping back in time, in the best possible way.

As I started digging through the bins, I was pleasantly surprised by the large selection of used vinyl. Lots of classic rock, country, and even some obscure gems I'd never seen before. It was a real joy to uncover hidden musical treasures, like that Waylon Jennings record that turned out to be a pleasant surprise.

Rare & Collectible Vinyl:
I'd heard about Know Name's knack for scoring rare and collectible vinyl, and they certainly didn't disappoint. An original Neil Young album, American Stars In Bars, for only $15? Sign me up! And at just a dollar apiece, those crazy Goin' Coconuts LPs were an absolute steal. I couldn't believe my luck.

The Neighbourhood:
The shop's located in a really cool part of Minneapolis, with a great neighborhood vibe. Lots of independent businesses, funky little cafes, and a real sense of community. I'd be happy to just wander the streets for hours, popping in and out of shops, before inevitably finding my way back to Know Name Records.

Prices at Know Name are more than fair - I found plenty of $1 CDs and used vinyl that won't break the bank. And the staff was so accommodating when I had an issue with a record, giving me store credit to put towards my next purchase. It's the kind of place where you can really stretch your vinyl-hunting budget.
