Stepping into the Detroit Record Club, I was immediately struck by the warm, welcoming atmosphere. The superb design and that cozy Eames chair in the listening station made me feel right at home, like I was visiting a friend's den rather than a record shop.

The selection here is just about right - not too big, not too small. I found myself easily perusing the shelves, with each record carefully cleaned before hitting the floor. The genres spanned everything from classic rock to rare jazz gems, giving me plenty to dig through.

My wife managed to snag a few real rarities on our visit, which is always exciting for a vinyl collector like myself. I love that the staff here clearly take great care in curating an impressive collection of hard-to-find albums.

The Detroit Record Club is nestled right between the vibrant neighborhoods of Ferndale, Royal Oak, and Birmingham. It's the perfect spot to pop in after exploring the local shops and eateries. The boutique next door also caught my eye - looks like I'll have to come back and check that out too.

I don't mind the slightly higher prices here, as every record I've purchased has been in fantastic shape. Sure, I could probably spend less at Solo down the road, but the experience and level of care at the Detroit Record Club is worth it in my book.
