🎙️ What's the Vibe?
Stopping by Diabolical Records, I could tell right away this was a place with a cool, authentic energy. The owner was super friendly, chatting with us about the local music scene and even hooking us up with a promo pin from the band we'd just seen play. There's definitely a 1960s music enthusiast vibe here that I can really get behind.
🎵 What's Spinning Here?
The selection at Diabolical spans indie, metal, and more - they seem to really focus on those genres. But I also spotted some other musical gems, like the Galaxie 500 album 'On Fire'. The listening station was a nice touch, letting me preview a few records before making my choices.
💎 Any Rare Finds?
I hit the jackpot on the rare and collectible vinyl front - I walked out with some real treasures, like the Have a Nice Life album 'Deathconsciousness' and the self-titled record from Faye Webster. The prices were shockingly affordable too, which made it even harder to restrain myself.
🏘️ The Neighbourhood
Diabolical Records is nestled right in the heart of Salt Lake City, in a neighborhood that's got a really cool, eclectic vibe. I loved the mix of indie shops, local hangouts, and that touch of urban grit. It feels like the kind of place where music lovers and vinyl enthusiasts would congregate.
💰 What's it Gonna Cost Ya?
I ended up spending around $100 on my vinyl haul, but the owner assured me that their prices are generally quite reasonable. From what I could tell, they have a great selection of affordable used records, as well as some more premium collectible items. Either way, I felt like I got my money's worth and then some.
