Still, the employees handled the situation professionally by calling the cops.

As a vinyl enthusiast, I was a bit frustrated by the pricing at The Cave. While I understand they need to make a profit, the offers they gave me for my own records felt laughably low, especially considering the round-trip gas money I'd spent to get there. And the prices they had on some of the items in the store, like a pair of beat-up Nikes for $45, just didn't seem to add up.
