Stepping into Planet Retro, I was immediately struck by the cool, laid-back vibe. The owner, a super rad and knowledgeable guy, made me feel right at home as I browsed the stacks of vinyl.

The selection was quite impressive, with a great mix of new and used records. I was pleased to find a high quality used section, especially for my favorite punk, hardcore, and indie bands. Looks like I'll be spending some time digging through these bins!

Visiting on June 21, 2025, I hit the jackpot and scored a copy of Uncle Jimmy's Band Slyder record. Rare finds like that are exactly what I love about digging in record shops like this.

Planet Retro is situated in a great little neighborhood, and I can see myself becoming a regular around these parts. The vibe is just so cool and welcoming — I'd heard about this place and it definitely lived up to the hype.

The prices at Planet Retro were right on par with what I'd expect. I was a little bummed when I had to leave without making a purchase due to the owner needing to pick up his kid, but I understand life happens. Can't wait to come back and see what other gems I can find.
