🎙️ What's the Vibe?
As I stepped through the doors of Capital City Records, I was greeted by a laid-back, welcoming atmosphere. The owner, Ryan, was chatting with a customer, and I could feel the passion for music pulsing through the shop.
🎵 What's Spinning Here?
The selection here is really impressive — I spotted a great mix of new and used records, covering everything from classic rock to more modern vinyl. Everything was neatly organized, which made browsing a breeze. I was impressed to find some bargains tucked away between the stacks.
💎 Any Rare Finds?
The Wall, as they call it, was filled with all sorts of interesting and rare vinyl that had me itching to dive in. I stumbled upon a mint condition original Broadway recording of The Phantom of the Opera — what a find! The owner clearly knows his stuff when it comes to valuable, collectible records.
🏘️ The Neighbourhood
Capital City Records is right at home in Baton Rouge. The neighborhood has a great, laid-back vibe, and I could tell this place is a hub for the local music scene. Stopping by felt like catching up with old friends — the staff was so friendly and welcoming.
💰 What's it Gonna Cost Ya?
The prices here are pretty reasonable, which is always a plus in my book. I was able to find some great deals on used records, and the new vinyl seemed fairly priced as well. This is definitely a spot where you can hunt for vinyl treasures without breaking the bank.
