🎙️ What's the Vibe?
Walking into Media Reload was like stepping back in time. The place had a cool, vintage vibe that instantly made me feel right at home. The walls were lined with old-school music posters and the air was thick with the crackle of vinyl — I could tell this was a spot for true music lovers.
🎵 What's Spinning Here?
The selection here isn't the biggest I've seen, but that just means you really have to dig to find the good stuff. I spent ages flipping through their crates, uncovering hidden gems like a well-worn Glen Campbell record and a pristine copy of the Bee Gees' greatest hits. And the prices? Unbelievable — I scored that Campbell vinyl for just a buck!
💎 Any Rare Finds?
Now, the real treasure trove was in the collectible vinyl. I spotted a killer Wings album (London Town, if I remember right) that was in fantastic shape, and it only set me back around 12 bucks. They had a Paul McCartney solo joint too, but that one was a bit pricier at $20. Still, for a serious collector like myself, it was worth every penny.
🏘️ The Neighbourhood
Media Reload is tucked away in the little town of Burton, Michigan, and let me tell you, this place has character. The streets are lined with mom-and-pop shops, hole-in-the-wall diners, and friendly faces. It's the kind of neighborhood where everybody knows your name — exactly the vibe I was looking for in a record store.
💰 What's it Gonna Cost Ya?
As for the prices, well, they run the gamut. Some of the older, more worn-in records are dirt cheap (I'm talking a dollar or two), while the rarer, collectible stuff can cost you a pretty penny. But that's all part of the fun, isn't it? You never know what kind of musical treasure you're going to uncover, or how much it's going to set you back.
