🎙️ What's the Vibe?
Stopping by Skele-Tone Records was like stepping into a cool little time capsule. The place had a real hip, 60s-inspired energy that just made me want to kick back and dig through the stacks. The guy helping me out was a total pro, super friendly and knowledgeable — exactly the kind of cat you want guiding you through a place like this.
🎵 What's Spinning Here?
I was really impressed by the selection at Skele-Tone. They had a killer spread of genres, from classic rock and jazz to funk and soul. I spotted a mint copy of Saturday Night Fever and a few banged-up Asia records that caught my eye. Everything seemed pretty well organized too, which made it easy to dig through and find some real gems.
💎 Any Rare Finds?
I didn't catch the details on that one — but I'll be back to find out. This place seems to attract some serious vinyl collectors, so I bet they've got some ultra-rare and collectible stuff stashed away. Can't wait to do a deeper dive next time I'm in town.
🏘️ The Neighbourhood
Skele-Tone Records is tucked away in the heart of Rochester, New Hampshire, which has a really cool, small-town vibe. Driving through the neighbourhood, I passed by a bunch of mom-and-pop shops, diners, and other local spots that gave the whole area a really authentic, lived-in feel. It's the kind of place that makes you want to park the car, put on a record, and just soak it all in.
💰 What's it Gonna Cost Ya?
I will say, the prices on the used vinyl were a bit steeper than I was expecting. I spotted a couple records that were 2-3 times what I would've paid at my usual haunts. But hey, that's the price you pay sometimes for finding those rare, hard-to-come-by gems. As long as the selection and vibes are on point, I'm willing to shell out a little extra.
