🎙️ What's the Vibe?
I walked in and was immediately struck by the cool, 1960s vibe of Spike's Record Rack. The place had a great ambience, with a nicely organized layout that made browsing a pleasure. I could tell this was a spot where true music enthusiasts gathered to uncover hidden gems.
🎵 What's Spinning Here?
The selection at Spike's was truly impressive — I found everything from vintage blues and jazz to the latest indie rock releases. Whether you're a hardcore collector or just getting into vinyl, there's something for every taste. I spent ages flipping through the stacks, uncovering one amazing record after another.
💎 Any Rare Finds?
As a seasoned vinyl hunter, I was thrilled to discover some truly rare and collectible gems at Spike's. From a mint-condition pressing of John Lee Hooker's 'Dimples' to a hard-to-find Velvet Underground LP, the store had an incredible selection of vintage and hard-to-find vinyl. I felt like a kid in a candy store as I carefully browsed through their meticulously curated collection.
🏘️ The Neighbourhood
Stopping by Spike's was the highlight of my trip to the charming town of Catskill, New York. The store is located in a quaint, historic neighbourhood, and I loved soaking in the local vibe as I wandered the streets before and after my visit. It's the kind of place that makes you want to linger and soak in the atmosphere — perfect for a vinyl-fueled afternoon.
💰 What's it Gonna Cost Ya?
First time here and I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices at Spike's. The owner clearly prices the records based on their condition and year, not just slapping on a premium. I found some great albums all priced accordingly, from a pristine 1970s pressing of Miles Davis' 'Kind of Blue' to a well-loved copy of The Kinks' 'You Really Got Me.' It's the kind of place where you can walk away with a killer haul without breaking the bank.
