I walked in and was immediately hit by the cool, laid-back vibe of the Milkcrate Cafe. The vintage ads and posters lining the walls gave the place a real 60s feel, and the excellent customer service from the staff only added to the welcoming atmosphere.

The record selection here is truly impressive. I spotted some great finds, from the new Perfume Genius album to a bunch of other gems. The staff seemed to know their stuff too, always happy to offer recommendations and help me dig through the crates.

I didn't catch the details on any particularly rare or collectible vinyl, but judging by the calibre of the regular selection, I'm sure there are some hidden treasures to be found. I'll definitely be stopping by again to do some more digging.

The Milkcrate Cafe is situated in a really cool, vibrant part of Philadelphia. Sitting by the window, I got a great feel for the neighbourhood vibe — it's the kind of place you could easily spend an afternoon exploring the local shops and cafes.

The prices at the Milkcrate Cafe seemed more than reasonable. I walked away with a new record for a very decent price, and my brother scored a few albums as well without breaking the bank. It's the kind of place where you can indulge your vinyl addiction without feeling guilty.
